Choose a building form before requesting a quotation

These are generic inquiry options for comparing alternative buildings. They do not identify original-brand inventory or verified equivalent systems. Send the reference specification and ask the proposed factory to list deviations in writing.

Buyers still have to separate material and form. A volumetric module, a portable project office, and a relocatable classroom can share a steel chassis and still differ in occupancy, exits, insulation, and the foundation interface. Ask which dimensions and quantity units the quotation uses: module count, floor area, or building set. Do not add those units together.

For each option, request the proposed primary frame, secondary framing, purlin and girt spacing, insulated metal panel or other enclosure, and the transport envelope. Ask the supplier to state design live load, wind speed, and ground snow load assumptions in writing. Standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, or AWS D1.1 are documents to request for the quoted system and jurisdiction. They are not credentials of this desk.

Shell, delivered, installed, and a wider site package are different totals. Freight, taxes, foundation, utilities, and installation should stay on separate lines until the buyer accepts one scope. A target budget can be per unit or for the whole order, in a named currency. High-end, mid-range, budget, or undecided is a preference for finish and coordination, not a rating this desk has verified.
